Playground Films was established by David Barker in 2018, the same year the company’s debut feature film, PIMPED, went into production. Over the course, Playground has produced award-winning drama, comedy, artist portraits, commercials and music videos.  Our passion is to connect with audiences through meaningful and entertaining interactions, crossing the boundaries of film, television, art, digital, music and advertising.

Highlights: 

MIFF PREMIERE!
 Soft Gaze short film, centred around a lonely cop looking for intimacy in her life, directed by Melissa Anastasi and written by Melissa and Aimee Tracton, and Produced by Playground, has been selected for the Melbounre International Film Festival, 2026.

Delighted to share that Producers, Cassie Matheson and Austin Hayden, have joined the team to help bring - to a variety of screens - ‘All That Glisters’.  A mutil-platform, Shakespeare narrative and accompanying feature fillm.
